I have arranged a meeting with the Heads of Ad Ops for tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to get some solid answers for you.
Apologies it's taking so long to get to the bottom of it all..

Be sure to mention the ad blocker thread when you do - that may focus their minds somewhat...

Indeed. PH is the *only* reason I have an ad blocker...

And some crap manages to find it's way past that on my tablet, which is my primary browsing platform, which has got me considering a network ad blocker.

I've had ad blocker on my laptop for a good year or so now. Reading these threads just re-enforces my opinion to not remove it whilst the management of Haymarket deem it necessary to bombard forum users with adverts. When will they realise that this is having nothing but a negative effect on the user base.

I would absolutely love to see a report from the management with a breakdown of revenue gained from spamming the forums with ads. Obviously never going to happen, but would be an eye opener.

I know, but when this forum dies an un-dignified death, they'll be looking around at the stinking pile they created and wonder where exactly they went wrong.

Can't blame PetrolTed for cashing out when the Haymarket money came knocking but you can see the difference between a site because a guy loved it and a site where suits talk of ad revenue, branding, user base and engagement all in the name of recouping the money spent buying it.

PH isn't PH any more no matter how much we want it to be and even if it's a familiar name over the door. I don't attend Sunday Services or local meets any more, and not because I've changed.

It's not me, PH, it's you.

Something alone the lines of fingers in their ears going "la-la-la-la-la we're not listening" at a guess.

The advertisers will keep paying so they (PH) don`t care about the end users issues.

This has just happened to me also.
Browsing the forum when suddenly diverted to "spin to win" with my phone (Samsung note3) vibrating like mad.
Wouldn't let me out until I closed down my Internet connection.

Having first encountered it on a thread in the lounge, it's ironically also happening on this very thread.

Sort it out!
