PH page hijacked and redirecting to malware
Discussion
Oh thank god it's you and not just me. I thought my phone was infected with something or other. I have been using the free bundled AVG thing since I got it last year and never had a problem like this before. Yesterday PH become completely unusable. Every time I tried to load it up, that free iphone 6 harbwire thing came up after a few seconds. This is an sony xperia z3 compact with android 5.1.1. I since did a 'purge' all the chrome data, cache etc. and it didn't come back on the first retry after. But i haven't tried it again since 'cause I couldn't be bothered with the hassle/worry of bad things happening.
Members,
We have disabled the advertising network sources, until we have clearly identified and blocked this possible rogue advertiser.
You will see only the motoring related advertisers, now accounting for 80% of our total advertisements. As per previous posts fewer and more targeted and interesting auto related ads is our advertising strategy.

Now about the auto-playing "Good Guys" video ad...
(Australian electrical retailer, so you would have never seen it in the UK)
I've just been taken away from PH to this page.
http://worldtechmobile.com/
I wasn't hovering over an advert and didn't invite any kind of hack or page jump.
Just thought you should know.

Just did it again, still "harbwire.com" this time offering downloads for my z3 compact. So it is learning.I have run 2 different malware checks since earlier so don't think its my phone.
Can't use the forums without JavaScript disabled.
Hi Ed,
To our knowledge ALL of the campaigns of this type / source are now disabled... is it still happening? (Guessing their could have been some latency between the switch off and the ads being served)
Apologies again to everyone - if it is any consolation this really is being dealt with as a serious matter internally.

Not. Impressed. Please sort this out for gods sake.
Yep, happened again to me too just now. (Happened last night too). Doesn't happen on any other sites.
Sadly that pretty much puts paid to me reading PH on my Android phone as I just don't trust any site allowing that sort of c**p to pop up and it seems ad blocking isn't achievable on the default browser?
For peace of mind, I'll stick to accessing via my desktop from now on, where the ads are blocked. Ironic really that those sh***y ads should push me to using only devices with ad blockers, thereby guaranteeing I'll never see any of your ads.....
