Just one, laptop using Chrome. It seems to catch up eventually. Working ok at the moment.

Still think it is a clock problem as it will only release the bold when time stamp is over an hour, other than when it is the poster that has last posted which would explain the inconsistencies.

When looking at something which has been dormant for an hour or more it will 'unbold'! Have all the PH PC clocks been turned forward?

It's a bit random, and involves more than 1 hour difference for me some of the time. That said, I am in another country which may throw things off even more! Using Chrome.

And yet my 'experiment' earlier showed a thread in plain text, then bold, then plain again, in the space of a few minutes.

Could this be due to thread views, My Stuff views and so on being routed to different servers from time to time (literally) such that if you get one of the Lancelot servers consistently then you see the hourly rate phenomenon, but if you happen to get another server in the interim then it's random almost?

Which is the conclusion I came to as well, because one or two of the threads in My Stuff did show as read almost immediately, but this one in particular seems to remain unread.
