Classifieds format

Have posted this in PH lab but not much traffic over there.

Why have you switched back to the old format, V2.0 is so much better.

I saw your post and have just had a quick chat with one of the developers and we are both seeing the new Classifieds. CAn you tell me what Machine, OS, Browser and skin you are using please so that they can investigate this further.

Screenshots would be a useful too if you could grab them

Hi Ollie,

I am a numpty when it comes to understanding computers and terminology so please bare with me on this, I might make a fool of myself.

I am using Windows 8 on a Toshiba lap top, and internet explorer/google. As for skin, I don't really understand this and in terms of a screen shot, I would stand more chance of climbing Mt Everest in a day, sorry.

What I am seeing is the previous classified layout with the little box that says "view full" for the photos.

That's as much as I can tell you.

The new classifieds look is being A/B tested, so that 50% of the audience see one style and 50% see the other. This is so we can benchmark any improvements of the new design to see if we have improved the performance of the page against our goals.

As this is based on a cookie on your machine, it is possible that this has been cleared, and you have thus been resampled into the old users view, and thus are now not seeing the new version.

There is a way to get back to the new version, but I don't want to post on here as it will impact the test - if you would like I can PM you to get it back - let me know.
