As an aside I flew business ten times (sort of) last year - five flights to Houston, five back. It was rubbish, flying is rubbish, it is nothing to brag about and I'm glad I don't have to do it again for the foreseeable future.
It is indeed, rubbish. Even first is rubbish. I hate flying.
I quite like flying without the family, I just enjoy watching some rubbish films without children hounding me every four seconds.

Fair cop - t'was work related for me so I was alone but having to drive at the other end put a downer on it as I couldn't get drunk laugh

Rubbish post - but I agree that the underlying point is valid. A focus from admin on the petty squabbles, name calling and thread derailing would improve the forum more than removing story threads, old thread revivals or other 'unwritten rule' breaches.

The mark by which a man should be measured "how many times have you flown business class?" laugh
Does that time when my GF totally flipped out on the way back from Rome, and ended up getting strapped into a 4 point harness up front, and me getting a 1st class seat closeby count? hehe

Either way, this all has a very high Eric Cartman level.

Its a forum, dont take it too seriously, people will say things you dont like, just politely explain your position and if they continue being obtuse, just ignore it.

But what do I know, I just have a paltry four Economy flights in the last year, not even premium economy, oh the shame.

I just assumed that welshbeef and corvettetrumpet (and ergo twinturbos) were the same person?

I fly first class twice a week on average yet have no M3 or Corvette.

I don't go to ELO concerts either so we'd be unlikely to meet there and become friends.

I'm at a loss really as to how we could become friends. Any suggestions?

I have none of the things the OP has mentioned.

The small matter of having no need to fly business class is irreverent i feel.

This makes me sad. frown

I was at the 02 in London with a good mate Corvette Convert last night who was accused of lying by six or seven jealous tossers here who hadn't the courage to face him and see his cars and bike as I did.

I rarely if ever bother with ph now but the cowardly slagging of people on ph should be clamped down on much better by admin as it is on the bike and car forums I do frequent.

Any of the libellous pricks who still need proof get along to the east Midlands classic car meet first Tuesday of each month. He was there in the Corvette last month and when he gets back from USA we will both be there first Tuesday in June either in the corvette or his V8 m3 coupe. Both have private elo plates so come and say hello to us and introduce your ph name and see for yourself.
The crap that made that bloke concentrate on yank forums was envious bollix and the six or seven of you should front up or shut up.
Ask yourself this how many if you fly business class 10 times a year? How many of you have worked for car and bike magazines? How many of you raised almost 200 grand for charity.
The bloke is an honest diamond so come and say hello in June.

Agreed, its just a different class if st. I hate flying. I don't have any fear of it. I just hate being stuck in a tin tube for 8-10 hours.

If somebody told me they regularly flew around the world on business trips I would assume they were looking for sympathy, not jealousy smile

It's slightly less st than flying economy but still rubbish. Waking up with an hour or so of the flight left with a steaming hangover is rubbish. Knocking one off under the blanket thinking about the hot stewardess is equally rubbish, much rather be at home smashing the misses.

bloody hell mate, did you put your PP in his bumbum?

I again, have no idea what threads, nor posters you're on about, but i don't see the need to make a scene about someone leaving the forums? If he's that weak minded and loves a tangible reward so much, that if someone says he's lying he throws his toys out the pram? Who gives a fk?

You probably should've wrote 'No homo' at the end of your post though..

I've already said. He's shorter than the Shard but taller than a bollard.
