Skimlinks?

What is with the crappy Skimlinks redirections???

I keep getting:

It not on all links, but on may of them...
Really, really bloody annoying!

Hi Eugene can you post a couple of the threads that these dead links are appearing in so I can take a look. It may be to a URL where the specific page no longer exists (due to age etc) but I can get them to look into this to hopefully fix if possible!

If I right click the link and 'copy link location', I can past it into my browser with no problems.

Oh - hold on!
It seems the browser pop-up blocker is stopping the links working.
That's not good news for anyone using Skimlinks!

I think I'll just stay with 'cut and pasting the link'.
I really do not like all this 'tracking/pop-up' bks with website like this.

Hi Eugene,

I'm struggling to replicate this all of the links in those threads work fine for me. What browser/device are you using?

I've tried clicking all the URLs in those threads with and without adblock which makes no difference. Skimlinks is "white listed" from ad blocking software so shouldnt be effecting the way a pop up window works so clearly something is going wrong somewhere.

Skim words (where certain car makes/models are hyper linked to our PH classifieds section) will only appear when a user is not logged in...seeing as you are posting I think we can rule that out too.

If anyone else is reading this thread please let me know if you are having the same issue.

It's the BBC link in the original posted message.

I have only just began to experience this crappy skimlinks entity over the last few days. But I get the skimlink redirector on just about any link I go to from a posting on pistoffheads... It's getting to the point where this site is unworkable for me. Can someone tell me if I am able to disable this crappy and extremely annoying interloper... or is it all server-side code and I am lumbered with the useless 'service'?
