Please can we have a tidy up of the news forum as there are so many EU threads now it is getting a bit daft and they all seem to say the same thing.

I have no idea what one to add to anymore.

I realise that this is another one

I've had to remove NP&E from my "Favourites" as the sheer volume of EU threads is masking other interesting stuff.

It's the unrelated threads that get turned into Brexit threads that get up my nose.

Maybe we need a temporary EU only sub forum. Cleans up NP&E a bit and when all the excitement/ scaremongering/ wishful thinking dies down it can be re-incorporated back into the main forum.

I have just started a thread specifically on the post-referendum options as this was not being addressed in the many others.

Except it has been closed with the same cut and paste response. "We have enough of these threads, post in one of those."

It won't be seen in one of those! The other threads are full of "it's your fault/no its your fault/bad loser/bad winner" arguments and not discussing the actual options the country faces.

On Thursday I counted over 50 threads on the referendum. By Friday it was over 60. It was just too much. I got slagged off for suggesting that people refrain from opening any more.

Eventually the mods saw reason.
