[img] vs [pic] - PH preference?

Really minor comment, do the powers that be prefer it if we use the img tag over the pic tag for embedding images, or vice versa? Just noticed that the formatting page calls out the [pic] tag, whereas most image hosting sites give you the [img] tag. They both work on PH but, as someone who is unknowledgeable but willing to learn about website coding (I assume PH runs a modified version of phpBB?), is there any particularism to one set of codes over the other? Or do they mean the same thing and I should get back in my box?

To my knowledge we have no preference... if we do, it is news to me. However, I'll ask the techies to comment!

I've looked into it and there is a slight difference.

An image in [img] tags will just show the image.
An image in [pic] tags will make the image clickable, opening up the image in a new tab when clicked on.

We have no preference to which one you choose to use.
