I've complained many times about this before but only as part of other login issues so time to make it a post by itself.

Please just setup your re-write engine or just pass it in the background. There is no need for the Unique ID to be shown as part of the URL.

It breaks saving of passwords (as the page URL is different every time) and coupled with the "remember me" not remembering me makes it a royal pain.

Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback. I've passed this on to our technical team.

Best wishes

Can't say I've noticed this issue, and it does remember my password on FireFox... Kust for my info (I'm nothing to do with PH!), what browser are you using? I might need to check this for my own software! biggrin

Chrome.

It doesn't work with Firefox either. Or rather it remembers the password but not the username.

I've given up browsing PH on the phone as it's so bloody annoying to have to look up the password and re-enter it as the "remember me" doesn't work either.

I think that given the glacial progress of any development on this site, I have edited Fastdruid's response to something a little more appropriate.

Oh, and I raised this very issue back in September 2015 (reproduced below)

So, the new login system logs you out after a period of time.

And I seem to recall we were told to check the "Remember me" box.

Which I tried... And got this:

So I think it's going to have a bit of trouble remembering me...

Browser is Firefox/40.0

O/S Windows Vista.

Not sure if this is a PH problem or a browser problem, but I think it's the first time I've ever seen the username field blank like this.

I presumed he'd had to go back to school after his work experience.

A bump as I was yet again annoyed by the lack of PH remembering me and yet again had to lookup my password.

hehe

It's dead simple really just use the same password for all your logins on every site you use and you only have one password to remember.

It's funny in one way in that we realise that the PH code is probably similar to a plate of mashed spaghetti, but this issue and the HTTPS access should have been sorted years ago.

Plenty of very competent PHers have offered to help over the years, I think Haymarket bought this site, and Ted sold them a blinder, Haymarket just refuse to even address half of the problems, they've got some poor script kiddies trying to keep it alive, the lack of investment is apparent to a massive degree from those that know how a site like this should be operating.

PH has a misery filter. Did you not read the FAQ?
