A My Garage question that has long baffled me

When I do into the edit mode for my garage it shows the cars (correctly) from most recent owned through down a list to my first car. When I view my profile in non-edit mode however it has the cars in a strange seemingly random order. Not most recent, not alphabetical. Any reason why this is?

Could it be they are in order of their last edited date (most recent at the top)?
