For some reason the buttons at the top of the page do nothing when pressed, so you can't navigate to the forums (unless you scroll to the bottom of the page and click the links there to Gassing Station). I've tested this on a mate's identical phone who has the same issue.

Having the same problem on my S7 (Samsung not Saleen). I clicked on a link to articles or something halfway down the page and the menu worked again.

Hi M3CS,

We are currently in the middle of a homepage test where we are showing a new test homepage to some users. Could you tell us which of the two homepages you are seeing. This will make it easier for us to diagnose the error.

Are you experiencing this on the new test homepage:

or the normal homepage:

Thanks,
Dom

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S7, using the most current Chrome browser.

I'm seeing the top one - and it doesn't 'work' for me. Either in a technical sense, or an aesthetic sense!

None of the 'buttons' along the top of the screen work. Pressing on the little person icon (I assume account settings?) does nothing. Pressing on the MENU button likewise does nothing. Search icon does nothing. Scrolling down the page, the links to news articles and so on do all work okay.

Design/usability wise it's a big step backwards IMO. I come to PH to read the articles and the forums. I buy/sell a car about once a year. Having to scroll past the 'car search' page - and then a full page of 'A view on automotive like no other' every single time is just annoying. It's two full 'screens' of scrolling before you get to any content.

And worst of all - I can't actually see how to navigate to the forums from the page at all! I genuinely can't find a link to the forums - if there is one, it's well hidden. I've resorted to manually entering the url (pistonheads.com/gassing) and therefore bypassing the 'home' page altogether.

ETA - From reading OP's post I notice now the links at the very bottom to the forums. The formatting is messed up though.

Hi walamai,

Thanks for your feedback. This new homepage that you are seeing was not intended for mobile devices, but we messed up somewhere and some users (including yourself) are seeing this new page on mobile. Therefore, I am not surprised that some of the buttons are not working, the text is overlapping and the general user experience is terrible. We are currently working on a fix for mobile users as priority and are in the testing phase now before we release it onto the site.

I think the above covers most of your feedback. However, if you or anyone else has feedback for the desktop version of the new homepage, please reply in the following thread where we are collecting all feedback from forum users: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Thanks,
Dom

Ah that makes sense.

Just to confirm, I've just had a look and it's now back to normal on my mobile (ie; the second image above)

Hi Dom, first one, menu button in the top right. Zero happens when you press it.

No offence Dom, but don't you guys ever test anything thoroughly?

This isn't the first time there has been a mistake...

Yes, but those things don't tend to make the Website Feedback forum!

We believe we have fixed the issues for mobile now so please let us know if you are still having trouble.

Thanks,
Dom
