This seems to be an ongoing problem across numerous websites. Is this some sort of cyber attack to cause disruption? What are all these sites running in common to cause this? PH, Debenhams, Telegraph, even our local newspapers site.

I imagine (but don't know) that one of the advertising agencies has had a problem and they're serving dodgy adverts. As I say though, it is only a guess... weirdly though I have been browsing the site all day and haven't had a single problem.

Right, but I can't see anything like an advert on Debenhams website

There it is (I think):

Still doing it on iPhone with stupid redirects to the App Store.

Since I cleared my history and cookies, it hasn't reoccurred. iOS 10.0.2.

I had this yesterday too. Clearing the cache sorted it.

So this was happening to my gf on our home computer and her tablet when visiting Debenhams.com. But not for me. Then I realised I had ublock enabled so disabled it and tried PH and Debenhams and it started redirecting me. Turned ublock back on, no problem.
It's the only way to browse now. I use ublock origin, privacy badger, MWB premium and flash blocking as a bare minimum when browsing on the PC. Unrooted Android means it's tricky to avoid all the crap and tracking that goes on (mostly without peoples' knowledge).

It shouldn't be this way. Every third party tracker or entity creates a new attack vector for malware and yet more information being collected by anonymous entities about what you do and where you go...

PH can't even be bothered to implement HTTPS and properly secure login but they're not wasting time with deploying link-skimming and ads (let's not even go over how atrocious the UX has been here due to rogue ads over the last couple of years...).

Still doing it for me on my iPhone, despite restoring it to factory settings, and restoring it via a backup taken last week. Even clearing out my cache didn't resolve it, hence the factory restore, but it's still doing it for me this morning. Seems to be connected to an advert within the Computer & Gadgets forum.
