They look very smart. What size tyres are fitted? Is it the same rolling diameter to keep the speedo accurate?

Got 16" on the 420 and run 225 45 16 which is roughly the same diameter as standard ish

But those are 9" wide so 225 maybe a tad narrow?

Tried em on for size & they went straight on with no rubs or fowling . I have to say that they're pretty close to the fuel tank rim though.
Anyway I've splitt them and sent one barrel & one of the lips off to image . They're going to copy the outer lips and make me 4 new ones . The current red centres are being dropped off on Monday for a special paint job wink

I used split rim desighns before and didn't have a great experience to be honest. The rims took weeks to turn up and when they did the bolts were missing from the order & I never got refunded furious however I did email to give them a chance & Maybee supply the 16's but had no reply .

I got them to make me a set of new splits a few years ago. I wont bore you with the details of their inability to stick to my specification or the quality of the finish, but the end result was I got my money back. I'd never go near them again.

Take it you're dealing with the owner Harry? You know some people just don't like to be questioned, however justified, well...........

Yeh true ' I have found a good selection from " MY TYRES " but not sure what to go for yet ,Pirelli's , Toyo or Nankang even seem to do quite a good tyre . Gonna be 245's all round though .
