Great been in IT for years and see it all the time. Screwing up a website because the "designers" need to earn their money. Well I'm sorry I have seen Continuous Improvement and it's usually a bad excuse for a change. I switched back because it's too damn busy and I do not like this skin. Oh joy, we're now permanently moved to "GTI"

So for those of us unable to always use adblockers PH / Haymarket are now serving twice the amount of Google Ad Choice based adverts then used to appear on "Classic" At current count there's 1 banner ad at the top, another banner ad between the forum header & the list of threads underneath, a curtain advert loading half way down the page on the right within posts, and a further 2 or 3 square / boxed adverts loading along the bottom of the page

You know what, that wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that nearly all the adverts you seem determined to shove down users throats are ones that put a drain on page load time and throw up "Pistonheads is not responding" or "Pistonheads is not responding due to a long running script" because they're all flash / video enabled ones

PH techs also get bonus points for, in some cases, managing to ensure the same advert loads more than once on the page.

There is no option now the switch to https has been made. GTI is st and this is comically bad decision making on the part of PH.

Oh yes, while I'm here I still think GTI sucks the sweat from a dead dog's dripping balls. This retrograde step will dissuade me from wasting as much of my life on here, which broadly speaking is a good thing.

Oops, I voted for classic but realised it was Big Blue which I was using previously. Both are better than Gti though, hopefully the devs might realise this based on the fantastic constructive feedback they have been getting.

the real issue is, if you've managed to piss-off so many of the heavily-involved daily poster-browsers, the ones who look in every few hours to see what's going on or contribute to running gags/pitched battles - you've also just killed pageviews and whatever ad revenue was left.
