Still gratis ads for those of us who have been around a while? I’m being requested to cough up £29.99
Followed it all the way through to the payment screen where it’s asking for card details - left the ad as a draft for now.
Should be I think..Followed it all the way through to the payment screen where it’s asking for card details - left the ad as a draft for now.

I listed a car a couple of days ago and it instantly went live with no payment request or the like.

There's obviously something wrong, which should of been fixed, for so many questions on this.
Seems easy enough for the mods to sort each request.
So why does the issue keep cropping up ?
There's a couple of things at play here – some issues are from when databases were merged a few years ago and account creation dates weren't carried over correctly from the forums to the classifieds.Seems easy enough for the mods to sort each request.

Others are just those that have recently become eligible, as the grandfather rights are only updated once a year at the moment, rather than a rolling goalpost.

The mods can't sort this, it's a Techie problem
Point being , when flagged by a member, it's quickly sorted, mod or techie, whatever Ben Lowden said:

Is it worth adding this to an earlier post - with a this is why, post in here and we'll check and correct if required or feedback why not?Others are just those that have recently become eligible, as the grandfather rights are only updated once a year at the moment, rather than a rolling goalpost.

I've just logged into my account which I haven't used for some years now to advertise a car. My account is over 10 years old but it says when logged in, it will cost me £29.99 to post the ad.
So why have you not logged in and posted using your original account to ask this question?Hi Big Al.
So this is what happen.
I tried to log in with my old account. Couldn't remeber password so had to get it reset via the link sent to my email address. I then updated my password and logged in. On doing so I could see my address was an address I haven't lived in for over 15 years. So I updated my address, and while I was at it updated my username as well. Then I went to post an advert for a car to sell and was presented with the £29.99 posting fee. So on seeing that posted on this thread. Now when I click on my username it also tells me I'm a member since today. But that's incorrect. I've been a member for over 15 years, I only updated my username, password and address today.

Thank you. Old username was - Sean-oozhy
@Seanntce it sounds like you might be suffering from when our old separate forum and classified databases were combined a few years ago. Please drop us an email at info@pistonheads.com with as much information you have on email addresses and current/old usernames, and we'll see if we can find your accounts to combine for you.Hiya, hope you guys are well :0) Had an account with Pistonheads for over 10 years, but haven't used it for a while. Just reset my password & updated my address & when went to list car, wants £29. Is it still suppose to be free for members of 10yrs or more. Last car I sold on Pistonheads was 12th March 2012 and a Subaru back in 2008.
Kind regards
Chris
