Yes, I’ve had him today. Had another one a few months back, and it all started to ring a bell with me again. Lots of questions about an Aston I have for sale and then dropped the “can you run a report” even offering to reimburse me. I have told him to go and do one.

Autocheck link was sent too.

Everyone be careful.

Possible new one here? Oddly, two emails sent that are identical, about two very different cars that I have for sale. Forgive the cynic in me, but after 30 years of selling car sin the motor trade, this is not normally how I used to receive enquiries.......

Be aware of this one boys and girls.

I've just been Alan'd too. Also on an A45. Same number, same email address. Same messages. Sounds legit etc and then pushed for Autochecks. I ended up paying the £19 because I thought I might as well... but then of course no report. Then Googled and ended up here....

Is there anything we can do to get Alan's number, website etc cancelled? Where do you report phishing?

Another one……..

Pistonheads, I appreciate that there must only be so much you can do here, but this is getting tedious. I never get as much cr@p from any other media sites when selling a car.

Got another one, this time it’s Sam on WhatsApp, phone number +44 7884 799912.

The website they’re pushing is hpiautohistory.com.

I told them they can use RAC and I’ll take it off the price, then they laid it on to try and push it through;

“I’m driving an hour with a friend, don’t haggle negotiate, spending over 100”.

They’ve since deleted the message containing the website from WhatsApp, but I’d ran it through scamadviser which marked it as suspicious… too slow buddy.

Take care out there.
