Yep, we now have our own image uploader and are no longer using Thumbsnap for this. Functionality should still be about the same and pretty much look the same too, so we wondered how long it would take for someone to notice biggrin

I wondered why I could see the image I uploaded yesterday (work firewall blocks thumbsnap images from being displayed but copes with being asked to upload one)

I just thought it was a glitch biggrin

It's been bigger than 2Mb for years, they couldn't work out how to change the text smile

It seems to increase the size of smaller images, leading to a decrease in quality. I posted an image of a book cover in the "books you have read" thread, it's 295 x 414 pixels and reasonable quality, but appears much larger on the forum. Presumably that's because of the `?resize=720` on the end of the image tag. I can see why that would be a good thing to prevent massive images in the normal thread view, but it's a bit strange to increase smaller ones.

Since the change I have been unable to upload photos, I'm doing nothing different to what I have always done, for example...
The image is there as it allows you to download it, but it doesn't display

Works in chrome on android. Which is not much help to you, but might assist PH.

The url of the link would help to check formatting.

Url tags not img tags

Can't tell from that how you were trying to upload and what. Are your attempts uploads from your files or from a websites url (as in right clicking on a web photo and "copy image address" then pasted it into your text using [pic] [/pic] formatting? Are you using a VPN and/ad blockers?

Basically more information of how/what you're doing is needed.

I've had the same problem but quite rare myself and the only solution for me was to "save image as......." onto my device then use the PH uploader.

I reckon that neither the thumbnail or the forum fit has been selected and as a result it pastes in the image as a link

Trouble is my phone defaults to forum fit but I think on my laptop it doesn’t

Spaces added to expose the code from original post - there are no img tags - there is a thumb but that doesn't get used when thumb is selected as that is done by the "resize="
