Something that sometimes happens when I post on the PH forum (and only on PH) is that, even though I am logged in, when I press 'POST' as a reply, I get sent back to the login page (and are told to loggin) and all I have typed is lost. I am then taken back to the 'front page' when I type in user/password.

Pretty certain it might be a firewall thing, but it never happens on other forums, and happens on both my computers. (Same ISP mind). Any thoughts?

Comments about the quality of my replies will be ignored

Unlikely to be your firewall as I (and I believe others) experience similar problems.

I suspect it is something to do with cookies, and PH deciding that it's time to log you out. I find that I'm automatically logged out at least once a day.

So, I suspect it is a case of "TADTS".

The workaround, or course, is to confirm that you're logged in before starting your post.

Jeremy's right. It's taking you to the login page because it can't find the cookie to identify you.

The reason it takes you back to the home page rather than the 'post' page is because it's failed to store a cookie keeping note of where to take you back to.
