Trying to understand the preceding tech stuff but struggling. Apologies if this goes wrong, but I am technically a numpty. It is official.

Here goes anyway.

....??? OK so it seems I need to type the [pic] stuff for a pic to appear, but from what I've just worked out, not on a link....THIS site seems to include the [url]/[/url] business, and a link appears as just a link if I ONLY type the full http address of a link without the [url] stuff.....er, right. BUT links freakout if you edit a post...hmmmm

Can anyone explain why [pic] [/pic] works sometimes but not others ?

I use tinypic, as novice, its really simple, and after the first couple of times, you'll wonder, what the fuss was about http://tinypic.com/

A fair amount of space to use for free (and good rates for a massive amount of space), very easy hosting, sharing and sorting facilities:
