Have you changed the look and feel of the profile page Ted?

Some of them seem to have tabs on now but when I click on the tab I get back to the old style PH pages.

Also I see an XML link in the top right of the page which gives a page not found error when I click on it.

Finally my picture doesn´t appear on my profile any more.

it's horrible! change it back! the old profile was a good 'at a glance' page... some pictures on peoples profiles don't even load up properly on the screen.

pray tell what was wrong with the old format?

Are you putting a "go back" button to the forums?

And are we allowed more than one picture?

Just looked at profile page, very impressed.

Yes, that is a bit of a glaring omission. I'll sort that.

Seriously Rob, please tell me what's wrong with it?

You needn't worry much as the rest of the changes are pretty much technical ones. The overall look of the forum will remain largely the same.

I like the look of it but why doesn't my picture appear any more?

I take it the next phase is to intergrate the pages the tabs link to into the same look and feel?

Edit: OK, I see it's sorted now. Cheers Ted!

as i mentioned, the old version was a one page, all info provided, so you got a good quick overview of a persons profile. nice and easy to read, simple layout. a good at a glance reference. this tabbed version means you only see limited info per page and if you click on all the tabs there's no direct way back to the original page you came from (ie you;'ve got to hit the back button on your browser 7 times to get back to where you were).

what did you feel was wrong with the old one?

Generally speaking, yes. A tidy up of the rough edges visually, implementation of some of the features requested and a new back end making future enhancements easier.

Fair comments to some extent. The tabs with no info on will disappear shortly so you can see what contributions someone has made. (i.e. if they've not submitted a video then the video tab won't be there).

The 'back' issue I will resolve - that's more of a pain in use than I anticipated.

The new system allows you to view all of someone's posts, rather than just the last 30 days worth and to see how much they participated in any discussion.

The old page was very untidy IMO and didn't include the calendar or adverts etc.

Same as above. It looks good but needs the Back button - on all of the tabbed pages
