Still seem to get the old style page if you search through Members Directory, but new style if you click on someone's name ... or is that just me ?

I got the old style going through the member bIt too. I'm sure it will be sorted out after majority of people have accepted PH new format of profiles.

I think we draw the line at making it look like your accountant's* website, though

* For any Accountant's reading this, substitute "Actuary's website" and then for any actuaries .... "Compliance Officer's website"

I prefer white to Grey though...

It does look like an Accountants profile !

Ted, what about letting people choose their own colour scheme?

Looks nice, very professional and organised, but I agree that having to press the back button so often gets slightly annoying!

Ted, how come the "Pistonheads Gassing Station" picture doesn't link back to the forum homepage anymore? Or at least it doesn't on mine...

So will the profile page via - www.pistonheads.com/~cyberhuss in time change to the new style? or will it stay the same?

I think the new style looks nice and clean, but i wouldn't mind keeping the old one located at www.pistonheads.com/~cyberhuss it makes it more easier for others wanting to take a quick look at all or most of the info

The old page will be replaced by this one eventually.

I like, it but when I click on other profiles, the name and photo are side by side which looks great, whereas on mine my name is lower down, am I making any sense?

Yep, one picture is one that you've uploaded to the PH server, the other is embedded within your notes. I'll look at trying to tidy that up.

Couple of points:

- would be good if the tabs with no data in had some kind of text - e.g. "this member doesn't currently have any adverts" or something

- nice one on the standards-compliant setup Only 2 warnings, both related to script tags with no "type"

Redundant tabs will not show (just testing that now).

Thanks, have worked hard to keep the new version of the code clean.

Presume you have the Firefox Developers Toolbar and Tidy HTML validator extensions installed?

Good stuff Ted. Noticed the new profiles earlier, they look clean & uncluttered. I'm sure in time even the naysayers will come round, although I have to admiit a couple of their points are reasonable. I'd suggest a "return to topic/forum" tab perhaps, so it appears on every page in the profiles without much tinkering needed.

Ciao

Ted, is there a reason the 'Occupation' bit has disapeared?

I know it seems like i do sweet FA, but taking the whole field away is a bit extreme
