Can I ask why my thread was closed in P&P please, seems a bit of a double standard that the thread was closed but the Girlfriend Is A Munter thread and various others are left open.

Probably because there wasn't much discussion to be had from the thread.

I grant you that sometimes there can be some double standards, but then the same Mods cannot be around all the time.

Pie and Piston is a 'virtual pub' as it were, and that discussion simply wouldn't get off the ground in most pubs I know.

They may not be around all the time but when they come back and see a thread open why not close it.
Sorry to say it but it seems like the woman bashing threads are left open and the male bashing ones are closed pretty sharpish.

I can remember quite a few women bashing ones closed in my time here - however, quite often the 'women bashing' threads are humurous (or end up that way), and don't start with 'All men are bastards' or similar.

Please take my word, all threads are watched, and there is quite often discussion 'behind the scenes' about whether threads are worth keeping or not.

Stacey, I need to point out that Pistonheads is a car centric website, centred around people disussing all things car related.

I notice that pretty much most your posting is non-car related.

Therin, if you looked about, there is a lot of threads for people like me, Ted, Nubbin et al to be moderating, and we seem to be spending most of our time sorting out hissy fits in P+P rather than enjoying the wise and fascinating information found elsewhere within PH.

Whether you agree with it or not is isn't anything I can change, however, spare a thought to some of the useless crap we have to clear up day in day out.

Different mods close different things. Get over it.

Simply trying to keep standards up. This is a car site with an off topic room for debating current affairs etc. This ain't handbag.com

Straying into the whole sex/relationships thing may result in a closure, it may not. My call.
