Pedantry, shurely?
Actually, in this case I was altering the tag line by using "Matters" in it's noun form rather than as a verb, as in "These are Pedantic Matters"
Oh and you mispelt surely
Awaits someone to come and tell me I still got it wrong
I wonder if the Helicopter appeal had much of an influence on Haymarkets decision?
Just thinking of the knock on effect Hammonds accident has had. It's done wonders for the show and the BBC would have a problem axing it now, the service has done extremely well and it's raised the profile of other helicopter rescue outfits.

I wonder will PH be at the meeting TVR today??
Last I heard they'd whittled the guest list down to 9 journos at a secret location and then postponed it at the last minute. I'm still waiting for the invite I was promised two weeks ago...
Good ole TVR!!
Never seem to fail
Doesn't build confidence in NS does it

As predicted on a TVR thread.
True. But while it's fairly predictable that TVR will break a promise, typically on a whim, I think it's different this time.
"Skimleson" promoting the event didn't help. Also, the penny may be dropping for NS that he may no longer own what he thinks he owns - in which case what can he announce?
'Tis true that the word "conference" may have been overstating the reality - more like a "minibusful". And quite who made it on to the final list is anyone's guess. At least one of the UK's biggest magazines had no invitation and could not raise an answer from any TVR phone number or the recently appointed PR firm.
Sniff Petrol hit the nail on the head about few people giving a toss anymore. This - IMHO - has moved from being any kind of auto story to something far more exciting: a proper scandal, I suspect. The big international magazines were wanting to shine a torch into SmolenskiWorld a couple of years ago - maybe they'll strike now.
