I've already posted this in GG, but i thought it might get viewed a bit more in here: There's quite a lot of people on here without anything in their car section of their profile, this being a car website it makes it a bit dull when you want to read about someones car to find they don't list it. So i made a short how-to to fill it in. Go to: Edit Your Profile - Then on the left about half way down, click My Cars
- Then on the bottom right, click ADD car
- Fill in as many details as you can
- Add a URL to a photo of your car, or a stock photo if you don't have any photos, i suggest TinyPic to host your photos as it's idiot proof and doesn't require you to sign up.
- You can then go back and fill in costs, like servicing etc, for example i've filled them in for my MINI Cooper S and my VX220
Et Voila, you are now actively contributing to PH being a nice place

Nice guide!
We are looking to add a few new features to the members area in the near future to promote this side of the site a bit more, including the ability to hide your cars in some way as a quite a few people worry about making this information public.

If you made the car ownership able to be hidden except to people on his my mates list that might work. One thing that would be really appreciated is on the Big Blue skin is having a shortcut directly to My Cars, maybe next to the RSS Feed or the My Mates Button.

I did it by clicking the link that says my cars in the first post, and from then on its plain sailing!!

They used to go to the same place, until i and a few others asked that one went to edit your profile and one to view it

Could do with the ability just to list past and present cars, then edit at a later date.

Noticing a lot more profiles filled in now, hopefully some of the less clued up people will see my how-to for it
