Tell Watchdog fella, might actually get some action if HM are publicly embarrassed about it

Don't you think that's being a bit drastic. We have been informed that Jack is waiting for an update!

Yeah to be fair they haven't had long to fix it, maybe they are waiting for phones to be defunct and the human race to develop telepathy

By the way, nice fleet. I am also a E39 540 owner.

Thanks

The E39 went a couple of months ago unfortunately, was a reluctant sale, genuinely one of the best cars I've ever owned. They are creeping up in price as well

Add me to the list...

On December the 6th and 7th, I enquired about five cars that were advertised on PH - all private sales. I have mobile call charges totalling £68.21.

Yes, I should have checked the costs, yes I should have clicked the link. rolleyes

I didn't realise call scams like this still actually existed in this day and age. I've put a lot of effort into all my websites making sure they comply to current regs with local rate phone numbers, shame Pistonheads doesn't do the same.

I actually did wonder at the time why there's a big 'call' button on the mobile version, but it doesn't work.

I guess someone went to a lot of bother to design a fresh skin for the classifieds, then when implemented realised, "oh, we can't let them do that".

Jack,

You might want to highlight the code of practice for phone-paid services to you management. The penalties can be (relatively) severe.

Alternatively, ask the managers to set up an account and join this thread. My guess is there is a risk that a disgruntled user files a complaint to the regulator, which would not help PH one iota.

I agree with the sentiment but, as vociferous as I have been about this, I think that the https issue is higher priority at the moment and given their track record so far, it doesn't appear to be within their capability to multi-task, so suspect that this will (unfortunately) take a back seat for the time being.

It's been seven years so far, so I doubt another week before we get another woolly update to say there is no update will make much difference.....

Don't worry Pincher, I'll maybe try another exciting separate thread in another sub-forum once https is sorted.
