Ban FF? I think you've given an obviously schizophrenic troublemaker far too much leeway.
That said it's not a library, some noise Is inevitable it's the snide comments that detract.
Look at parliament, debate is messy and there's always going to be some jeering.
I always disagree with plunky, gear, Krishna etc. but they don't intentionally derail the debate in the same way as FF.
The solution is obvious where I'm sitting

That is exactly the kind of post that could/would/should result in an instant ban on the climate threads.
This is the problem that we are trying work around.
