I just spoke with Matt @ Jestream - he said you had bought one. When you're up there let me know, would like to see it as Im thinking about one. Not sure about the e-gear though?

Jon@Alcon.
Hi Jon,Regards,
Jon@Alcon.
The car will be getting transported to Edinburgh tomorrow or Friday but feel free to head in if you have time and tell Sales manager Paul I said you can have a poke around it.
Think manual cars are almost impossible to get hold of but the E-gear I've driven in Ferrari's and other Lambos has been fine.

Picked it up yesterday, It's a bit of a beast, it's big and awkward to drive at low speeds as the E-gear doesn't like town driving and the visibility is pretty bad but on an open road and pressing on it comes alive, the induction roar above 4500rpm makes me laugh like a 5 year old and it's got proper beef, even for an 'old' Supercar its staggering performance. The steering is a bit heavy for my liking but the ceramic brakes are up there with some of the best I've experienced. Well built and comfortable interior which I didn't expect either, A truly great car!
Will get some better pics soon

Congrats! Nothing beats the feeling of driving down the big open roads in a V12. yes there are quicker cars out there but the Lambo V12 will always be a winner in my heart. Will get some better pics soon

How bad is it? I'm looking to buy a 640 in the next month or so, but the E-gear worries me. I think there were only a handful of manual 640's supplied in the UK, so realistically it seems if I want a manual car I'm going to have to have an older non 640 model.I intend on using the car every day including a commute, and my benchmark for a good daily driveable semi-auto is a DCT E9X M3. The single clutch Murci semi auto is obviously not going to be as 'friendly' as a DCT/DSG, but do you think it's likely to be acceptable or impossible?

Well I drove through edinburgh when I picked the car up the drive was a pain, if I lived in a city I wouldn't own one. I struggle to understand why on earth people own them if they live in London or places like that. The clutch pick up in first gear is slow if your moving in traffic and not smooth when cold, by the time the car is warm I'd be at my work. It's absolutely not a daily driver for me but it is great at cruising along on 60/70mph roads.I intend on using the car every day including a commute, and my benchmark for a good daily driveable semi-auto is a DCT E9X M3. I think a test drive is best, everyone has different opinions and you'll need to base your decision on the type of commute you have.

Congrats on your purchase. Nice choice. Stunning.
I see we have a few Murci followers on here... (manual/e-gear, early cars & later mods)
Ive posted this in another thread to try & get a view from your guys (oners past & present) about this car.
Has anyone on the thread know anything of this one?
Not the cheapest. Bust good spec. RHD, late model (2008)

... or got a view on spec changes on later cars (2008) compared to earlier models?
I hear suspension issues, and hoses, as well as owners changing brake set-up.
Also... the values don't seem to be going down. I looked at a couple of white roadsters during the 50th Anniv tour and the prices have risen since. Good for current owners... not so now I'm in the market for one

Good car that one, very low miles. From memory, it was very tidy and had good history.
The exhaust on it is a Larini, sounds incredible. I took it on a run when it was fitted with GoPro attached, there should be a video of it on Amari's YouTube page.
The rear wing isn't an SV wing as stated, its a Hamann wing if I remember correctly. Last owner was a chap in London so it probably didnt get used much.
Definitely worth a look at it.
If you need anything else, feel free to PM me.
living in central london, and owning an e-gear murci, I can say they are truly rubbish in traffic (same for e-gear gallardo) and same for F1 360/430 (they all use the same magnetti marelli ECU and actuators for the gearbox (having taken apart the murci and 360 before).
The problems is that full clutch engagement happens to high in the rev range (adjustable but usually around 1500rpm); by this time you're normally doing the speed limit. Not a problem on an empty road; but in heavy traffic, there is never a big enough gap to "fully engage" the clutch. If you wait for a gap, some one "ducks in"; so you're constantly slipping the clutch- this is what causes the advanced clutch wear. combined with a sports exhaust, it sounds like you don't know how to drive..
I bought a manual box and am converting mine to manual..
