Thanks Sandy
I haven't seen prices that high, has there been a recent upturn in the market for manuals then?
Good ones are getting pretty rare now I think. I know of 5 manuals sold in the last 6 months, 2 at 120k and 2 others at 115k and 1 at 116k so that's what I'm guessing as a good starting point..I haven't seen prices that high, has there been a recent upturn in the market for manuals then?

Many thanks, you have now set my expectations higher than I originally thought!Next question: Is there a way of placing an ad on Pistonheads that only goes out to the Lamborghini Forum members?

LamboFan - I've sent you a message, have you received it?
Nothing through the ether yet.Do you use Mike at Carrera Sport for servicing? If you say Ian with the Red Diablo he'll be able to give you my number.
Thanks

My Murci is always serviced at Sevenoaks Lamborghini but I will give Mike a callDo you use Mike at Carrera Sport for servicing? If you say Ian with the Red Diablo he'll be able to give you my number.

I think this LP640 sold quite cheaply considering it's the last ever of the V12 manuals and very rare!

I bought a 2005 manual and I know the owners of the 3 of them and the seller of the other one.
I also bought a 6.2 Manual a while after Sandy and i know of another one last November selling for £125k, they must have appreciated some since then. I mean Testarosa's at over £200k; Murci so much better to drive more theatre (Subjectively), safer and more usable as rare, why won't they go higher? you just don't see good manuals for sale any longer 100 IAN said:

It was a genuine manual car. The only non standard upgrades that I noticed were the LP640 body kit, rear spoiler and a rather loud after market exhaust. I did go to see the car, but wasn't quick enough. It was snapped up very quickly. For those Murcie anoraks out there, this car was previous registered 70 OL.

Were these private sales or were they sold to/through dealers?
As much as I am sure I will regret it I have decided to sell my 6.2 manual so just considering the best approach and who to speak to.

It has larger brakes (track-day?) and dark whhels aftermarket that I do not like.
exaust after-market , for your valutation
fortunately has his original post headlights (many first serie not have!)but I can not understand if they are painted or opaque blacks.
interior looks good, seat and steering wheel.
Also the engine bay seems fine and not "consumed".
important is which just has the perfect and regular service and invoices of interventions.
How many owners?
price in line with current prices (manual, the first series)
good colour

Interesting what you stated regarding the original rear lights, do you think it's best to keep original lights as most people have upgraded to LP640 lights, I've been contemplating doing this?
Personally I'd get the wheels back to stock finish as black doesn't do it any favours and secondly I don't think you can put the original lights back in because the carbon fibre is cut out by dremel to enable the lp640 lights to fit . I could be wrong on this point, you'd need to take the rear spolier deck off to see if this has been done......
yes, I have learned that a car, especially a supercar, produced in a few pieces, MUST be original, if you want to preserve and increase the value.
ok changes but if they are reversible, but the true collector wants the extreme originality!
someone would buy a million euro a 250GTO ferrari modified with pieces (although the original) of any successive series ????
For example look at the 911 world .....
you want the LED lights? bought a 640.

I did ask David at Paingbourne and yes you have to cut the Carbon panels to enable fitting of the 640 lights so i goes a non reversible change.Edited by Fuoco on Sunday 13th March 09:06
