Afternoon,

Having a look last night, it appears that the two hoses that plug into the rack and connect to the rigid pipes that lead to the rear of the car are both leaking.

The low pressure one seems to be a rubber pipe with two jubilee clips on it, the high pressure has male / female connectors crimped onto it.

Sevenoaks can get the low pressure one - £16, probably still excessive for a rubber hose but it come in a nice box.

The high pressure one is currently on back order for........................................... £394 plus VAT !!!!!

It is an 8 inch long hose, I will try to remove them and get Pirteck to make up some new ones. Will report back on cost, but it takes a couple of hours so should come in under £400 !!!

Access is less than ideal, did think I could remove the heating unit from the front storage space - but it is complex to take out so either loosen and wriggle the rack out of the way, or destroy your knuckles getting to them.

That didn't work !

I can not get access to the nuts to remove the pipes - a 222mm crows foot spanner seems to be the only way to get at it.

The lifting system return pipe to the reservoir in the engine compartment is also damp so will look to change that - it is far easier to get undone and it is clipped / zip tied to the rigid pipes that run under the car.

Interestingly this does not appear on the Eurospares parts diagrams, but the Diablo 6 parts do show it.

Hey OP, as I posed on your other thread, the short LP pipe with the clips is a service item, common failure. I've never heard of the HP pipe leaking. I know you know what you're doing from you other threads, but I'd be surprised if the HP pipe is leaking, and has not just been showered from the perished LP one. A leaking HP pipe would have accelerated failure, and lose large amounts of fluid.

I spend time on lambopower.com, lots of useful information, and a few annoying yanks on there !

Thanks - I saw your earlier post.

I will replace the low pressure one, clean up the mess and see what happens from that.

Thanks
