last of the line of cars with an engine derived from the original 350GT, the early cars are a bargain, but this will always be considered the ultimate model for collectors

Easily - and some! There is no comparison between the early murci's and the later, no LP640 facelift and dynamic changes - of loosing weight, way better steering and much better braking!Just my 2p

No you probably cannot find out the exact figure, I asked Valentino from the factory about build numbers and he replied something like "the documentation was not so good at the factory around that time so it is difficult to know" maybe there were 28 rhd originally and a few may no longer exist. I heard that 16 came to the UK though many were later exported and now some have been brought back in including a few overseas market cars. It is likely that the number in the UK is back in the teens again due to the rise in values.Anjum said:

So an early Murci + a Countach = Murci SV. To me at least one of these prices is out of quilter.
Still, as they say, two views make a market.............
The market generally makes no sense, look at the classic Fords that are going for silly money, there is also an integrale going through this auction with an estimate of 90k +, I have one and it's a fantastic car but not sure if it's 90k, I have owned both a Countach QV and the Murcie SV and only the newer car would get my money now, obviously in my humble opinion.
For any enthusiast this will be an interesting auction to watch which is why I am going to see what unfolds.

cos it's not a bad little car and I could have lots of fun. 
as mentioned already the sv was a very small production number by comparison to many special editions of various marques. the fact it has the sv badge will make it more desirable other time, its performance compared to standard murcielagos is another key point also many consider the Murcielago the last real lambo in modern times. i made a monumentally bad decision not to buy one last year when i could have got the car for £220k with full spec, full service history, and only 10k miles! mind you i also passed on a lhd gto for £230k! two decisions i now regret massively.
i only see these going up in value with time, look at how many aventador sv are being made and compare that to this.

There are 6-8 world wide...3 in the states (2 white with a big wing and 1 white with small wing), rest are in Europe IIRC. 1 Rosso Mars, rest I don't know unfortunately. Bas Jaski said:
