Hi all

I was wondering if any Lamborghini owners based near me would be kind enough to make my special day even more special by providing a ride??. Cheeky i know but you never know unless you ask.

It would be on 23rd of march and from Watford to Uxbridge appprox 19 miles.I would be more than happy to cover costs incurred

Thanks

i hope you are thick skinned. Answers to this question in the past have been, shall we say, robust!

Are you posting under a second user name? Genuine question as this may be looked on more favourably if your an active member of the forum.

As above these requests usually get one of two responses.

The first one labelled on yer bike son, and the second with a link to a company who will provide such services.

Personally I wouldn't entertain this for someone who has posted three times with a third of those posts at least asking for a favour. That said we're not all as miserable as me and like you say if you dont ask you dont get, I certainly got into the position i am in life by taking chances and being a little cheeky.

Hi

This is my one and only username I read pistonheads and attend the Sunday services when I can I'm just not active in the forums.

I appreciate your input and I'm prepared to be told take a hike but hey you never know. A
friend of mine has a ariel atom and he has done this for people who have made similar requests to mine so I figured no harm in asking people can only say no.

Not being rude but I suggest you pray for sun in March and go in the atom.

Based on similar threads in the past, they can say quite a bit more than that. wink

No far from it, but does offer similar performance thrills and enough seats for groom and groomsman, in great comfort... at a fraction of the cost ....

I would say (as many would on here) it's miles off actually (do love the M5 though - however other than a 'similar' HP number is nothing like a Lambo) and I think the OP was looking for a generous owner covering 'costs' not a hire rate (basically chancing his arm on a gratis offer).

Crikey - what a miserable response!

One of the things I like about having a supercar is to be able to show it off! And to see the positive reaction from others who get to experience it. Whatever way you look at it, we're in a privileged position - and whenever I get a chance to share it I'm happy to.

OP - I hope that you find somebody to help and that you enjoy your day all the more.

Micky

Thanks guys for the more positive replys. I had a phone call today from slickhillsy who very kindly offered a lift in his lovely ferrari. Unfortunately the fact I am getting married on a Thursday proved to be a problematic as I thought would be the case. It was however nice to know that there are people out there that that are willing to go out of there way to help strangers so what a top bloke.
I will keep my fingers and toes crossed and see if anything else comes up

To offset the "cheekiness" of the request and stem the potential abuse, you could offer to make a decent sized donation to a charity or the owner. Good luck - I also believe in don't ask don't get smilethumbup

There are also companies out there, that do offer this kind of service - unsure why the OP doesn't you google search to find one
