Further to the recent similar thread anyone had experience of the above route ref ground clearance with a Murcielago? The front doesn't lift anymore either.
Any experiences helpful thanks.

I couldn't comment on that particular route or your car, but we found no problems when taking a 360 on the DFDS route to France. We made sure we specified a 'low clearance' vehicle when we booked (I asked them over the phone first) and they sent us on with the trucks, rather than up the steeper ramps. With a bit of care and slightly angled approaches, we were fine.

Hope this helps.

I don't think you'd even get onto the ship without front lift. When you go into the port at Hull and up to the terminal, there's a big underpass dip in the road that I've grounded on before, then the ramps up to car deck level have some very acute angles, and are steep enough to ground a 991. Possibly as low as the Murci, but shorter, so it should ride them better. The switchback turns on the ramps would also require a bit of reversing too I think..... Let us know how you get on !

When I had my Gallardo (no lifting gear) I took it Hull-Rotterdam, the loading staff were very helpful, they had plenty of wood stashed to compensate for the dips/gaps, it wasn't to full, so they even gave me my own area coolthumbup

I'm not sure about that route but last year took my Murci onto the Irish ferry crossing from Dublin, on the advice of the staff paid extra for VIP and they guided me to the top level where your Lambo gets a lot of space. I did use nose lift but it really wasn't that bad at all. You may have to go at an angle if nose lift inoperable.

Only seen this thread now, I would be very dubious Simon, I have taken my LP640 on the ferry several times, Irish sea crossings with Irish Ferries and P&O, and Ireland France crossings also, and I can say that without the front lift, there would have been damage. The standard 6.2 Murcielago would not be such a risk without the front lift, but the 640 is about 2 inches lower!!
