Aventador Performante
Discussion
Some are saying 900 plus 63 but we will know officially later today. Good thing is it will be limited edition and base price around £350k

I thought I read that... although PH article sugests 899 SVJ's as well as the 63?? unless i misread it.
That should please many who were suggesting it wasnt a limited number.

So I attended Quail as a guest of Lamborghuni and visited the Lambo lounge. In person the car looks awesome, hell the Aventador in general looks awesome BUT it honestly when I first saw the SVJ I was like wow it looks like an Aventador with a bodykit.
Imo it's not worth the money they're asking because they'll be 900 coupes and rumor is 600-900 roadsters. It's not going to be rare, in fact most US dealers still have plenty of allocation. I also spoke with Lambo suits at the lounge and replacement testing begins soon and with previews some time in 2019 with a release in 2020 as a MY21 model. And the design of the replacement will be very radical and very different compared to the current A. I've decided to take my deposit back, don't feel like taking a massive hit on the SVJ because once the replacement is announced this car and the A in general will drop like a rock. I'm a Lambo fanboy but I'm also a realist.
Here's a few pics I took of the 63;

Can’t see it dropping like a rock in value. It’s still a limited Lamborghini V12....
Suppose a lot will depend on what the next generation is powered by.
If it’s a turbo/electric power train then the SVJ with its V12 should hold money well I’d have thought
I'd agree, I think all the 'last out of the door' NA noisy big capacity V12 engine cars will be worth mad money when everything goes turbo/hybrid electric. Suppose a lot will depend on what the next generation is powered by.

Generally the maddest editions are the ones to hold and will be sought after in years to come - I think the numbers are on the high side, they're clearly filling inventory to keep the line runnimg the way they did with the gallardo so the number is likely dictated by how many build slots they want to fill and lack of demand for the base car after the SV came out.
900 is still not a lot of cars though - Ferrari built 1,315 F40's and they are trading at around 1.3m - Ferrari did what 499 LaF's with values into 2.5-.3.0m - assuming (don't know if they are, not checked) they split it 500 coupes and 250 roadsters and the remainder in special editions like the 63 then that would not be far off LaF/Aperta numbers - clearly its a bigger volume than the 149 ir so SE30 diablos and handful of Jotas, but the supercar market is a much bigger number now - the SVJ is in line with the 918 on volume so I'm not sure why people are concerned about residuals given how popular the aventador has been in the social media fraternity.

In my opinion the SV will be the one to hang onto but I feel even these will fall for a while until they reach classic status.

It's not 900 SVJ's in total. It's 900 coupes, the roadster will be separate. The total production number been thrown around the event was 1963, 1900 coupes/roadster and 63 LE's.
I'm the biggest Lambo fanboy, owned and still own tons of Lambos and will continue to buy them but even I can face the reality that the SVJ is not a exclusive or limited car. I still might end up buying one but I expect to lose money on it when I go sell it. And this nonsense floating around been the last NA V12 is BS. The replacement is keeping the V12, the electric/hybrid will only be in place to skirt future emissions regulations. You'll still have the V12 roar. We're long ways away until the V12 is replaced.

Im heading over to the factory tomorrow to spec my Ad Personm SVJ. We've been granted recording rights on the production line and the Ad studio so i'll be sure to post up some footage once it's pieced together
900 Cars + 63 coupes is the number, would I of liked them to of built fewer cars? I guess it would be nice, but if I'm being completely honest I doubt the full 900 will be manufactured as just the sheer size of the production run has put off many flippers, which IMO is a great thing!
For me, it's going to be a keeper along with my perf. So I'm just going to enjoy them both for what they were built for, giggles!
Here's an image of the spec I'm considering on the SVJ (excluding the 63 liveries)
And one of my current perf which it will twin
