Having returned from the lesbian-infested, one-good-restaurant-in-the-whole-town, rain-sodden, grim-up-north experience that is Hebden Bridge in summer, what a delight to see this thread has continued to flourish (despite McNab's attempt to lower the tone )

But my journey north was enlivened somewhat by following one of these for most of the way up the M6

Gorgeous isn't it? Apparently, its a "Milano229_RT8". See here for more automotive porn:

www.roiwebserver.co.uk/impress/themes/3/Catalogframe.asp?CustID=94&Name=Octane

I've only recently taken a subscription with Octane so I don't know much (anything!) about the vehicle in question. This months Octane is quite tasty BTW, Ferrari 250's all over

According to the things I read when I was a boy in the early '70s, we should by now all be riding around in cars that look like that.

Instead we got... people carriers

Wow! That's utterly gorgeous!

Now then... Any chance of a copy of that without the mark? Pretty please...

Glad you like it Charles. Sorry I can't do a copy for you as I hope to put this and others in a book some day.

There's a P400 for sale in France for €125k (around £80k), and on the same site there's an totally and utterly immaculate SV for €300k (around £200k)...

So not for now for me...

btw, Ted, have you considered changing the url to MiuraHeads ?

Some really nice cars on there. Started to consider
the Replica P4 built by Lee Noble, then my head took over from my heart. GOD DAMN I love cars! I'll need therapy soon.

Prova(of Countach replica fame) used to make a Miura rep apparently, there has been talk of one of the current Diablo rep manufacturers buying the moulds...

Of course it would be all for nought unless you made the effort to make a convincing-looking replica, but it would still be way cheaper (not to mention more attainable) than an original.
