Enjoyed those, looks like a good event. O/T for the Lambo thread but is that 288 GTO factory Black or a repaint?
It's the only black 288 GTO produced and made as a special order for the Sultan of Brunei.

Hi chaps, I got hold of the French photographer, Thibaut, who has sent me high res copies. Some as below. You can really see how stunning Pierre's navy blue car is. I am in love with this colour.

My god, that really does look lovely in that blue.
I agree the blue really looks great. Nice set of pictures.

Friend of mine bought a black '87 Countach in Miami (serial no ZA9CA05AXHLA12140) and brought it to Belgium. Needed a little bit of work, but is now being driven.

I need a bit of help.
The engine cover clamp, has come off and is lost.
That is the part at the back of the engine cover that fits into the latch on the rear bulkhead to keep the cover closed.
It is effectively two V shaped with a rod which protrudes by about 2.5 cm
Could someone look at their car and give me exact dimensions for the depth length etc of it so I can get a new one built up?
Thanks

Hi
No it definetly isn't one. I have a few and the latch is completely different. The ones on the X'y is a D shaped one.
Thanks anyway. It is bound to be common to other cars of the Era.

Paul, I'll try and get a look at mine sometime over the next few days and get the measurements you need, I'm sure an Anniversary is the same as the QV.

We currently have this beauty in with us at the moment so it seemed rude not to do a photo shoot with it!
With thanks to the incredibly talented Alex Hill and the wonderful owners of this magnificent Countach.

Alex's Diablo pics are in the other Lambo Forum, well worth a look.

Cheers,

Ruttboy.

I remember well when my first Lambo was delivered - a Jalpa.
I stood there with the dealer wondering whether or not to get the wing removed.
He said, "Look if you're worried about looking over the top, you shouldn't have bought a red Lamborghini!"
The wing's still on.

That mirrors my view. Lamborghinis are not about being subtle or suave, they are about being outrageous and long may that differentiate them.

At the risk of re-offending I agree entirely...

I had a long discussion about the Countach wing with Valentino Balboni. He was firmly of the view that it should be without the wing.

Why?

(He may just be very politic - he kind of said the opposite when filling my Jalpa up with oil at the 30th anniversary factory jaunt.)
