Thanks for the feedback all - I realise from this I looked at this car to buy back in early 2007 when it was red and a bit run down, and up for sale for £7,500 - how times have changed !
If anyone has any pictures of the car in original spec before this (silver, red interior) I would love to see them, either on here or at;
simon@robbiereid.co.uk
Thanks
Simon

Hello all,
I was hoping to have Urraco 15858 in for a winter rebuild by now, I have been assembling parts for the engine out refurbishment but it has not taken place yet. There will abviously be more tasks to take on with a car that has been sitting for a few years.
I am near Maidstone in Kent and my preferred engine builder is in Tunbridge Wells - I do not have the time nor facilities to drop the engine and strip for rebuilding.
Can anyone recommend a company in my area to do the work, or at least take it all apart and I'll take the engine in for rebuilding. Or should I just call Mike Pullen at Carrera Motorsport ?
Thanks in advance,
Simon

Hi well I have just taken out from storage my old computer and found all these pics on there re my old cars and many others from Lamborghini club UK events.
Enjoy...still want another car.
Ooh! Seems they are all too large in size to up load...
ummmmm need a rethink....They date from about 2001.

Hello all,
We are getting close to the return of P250S #15858.
The bulk of the work has been focussed on getting the engine to run properly. The main issue was with the carbs, the actual engine and transmission seem ok. Carbs are currently being rebuilt, with a full engine service, brake and cooling overhaul to follow;
The interior is fine as it is, will need a good clean to really show off the very 1970's funky trim. Electric windows are very slow but not currently a priority;
The bodywork will need some attention at a later stage, but is perfectly useable as is. One wheel and the spare have bubbled up badly, which is better than all five on my old P300. A small amount of welding is required underneath;
So, hopefully should be up and running and MOT'd for end of March / April.
If anyone can help with a genuine steering wheel and the passenger footrest (missing) any advice would be appreciated. Not too worried about the steering wheel, have seen some for sale but for silly money and Momo do a good replacement. However, no idea about the footrest ?
# 15858 will need a decent shakedown so hopefully see some of you at various shows and events as we move into Spring.
Regards all,
Simon

Jalpa 12068 made £74.3K including buyers premium today at Bonhams Goodwood sale. Perhaps the fitment of solid valves by a well known marque specialist gave confidence to bidders.
It's a well sorted example and had the bravo wheels so that would have helped the price move along. All told, they're fun, solid, and rare cars so it's nice to see decent examples go for healthy prices.Ferruccio said:
£2,495 for a brand new set at Eurospares so wouldn't make too much of a difference
From the wavy look of the surface and the shape of the holes these look like originals to me... I have a set of Eurospares replicas and they are incredibly heavy by comparison! Edited by P300V8 on Monday 23 March 00:35
I went to have a look at this car
Very original and had been well looked after - the owner did all the work on it himself. I think this was probably the first RHD car with external fuel filler and round tailamps
The wheels are original magnesium ones - swapped over around 1995
I did put a bid in on it but alas it went for considerably more than I was prepared to pay in this over-heated market
