Here is a clip of Jeff Sparrow's ex 15040 now in Singapore. This car already features on this thread with Countachman's post 22/11/13 and my post 04/12/13 and is the first RHD car with original vinyl interior. I went to see it last year when it was for sale but it was in terrible condition. He later told me he had sold it to Singapore and here it is for all to see! Note the boot badge as fitted to the first 50 cars.

And here is another orange car trying hard to look like Urraco Bob. This is 15544 with Jalpa engine from HLA12348, now in Japan.

Let's hope he warmed it up first. That engine was rebuilt by Colin Clarke.

I'm fairly sure that's me, given that there are only two roadworthy Silhouettes in the UK and it's not the other one (mirrors, sidelights, interior all look like mine not his!). However, I can't remember parking it anywhere that looks like that - maybe St Johns Wood High Street?
I reckon that's Duke Street, just off Oxford Street. Convenient for Selfridges although you'd be hard pressed to get much shopping in the Silhouette. I know my shops...

And to keep to the theme of the thread here's some pics of one of my V8s:

Photos originally taken and posted by Chris Y on http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=127... - I take no credit for them or the parking (it was the Mrs on her first go at wrestling with driving the Jalpa).
Don't know the street name, but yes just off Oxford street near some weird church off to the left out of shot.....

Here is an amusing clip - though a little slow for the action to start... This is probably 40058 the car that later became the bronze Jalpa prototype.

A LHD car 250s sold in the UK 2014.

Nearly had it ...as I did an Austin 7 barn find and a Bond Bug this last week! Yes so near yet so far.

I do like the colour combination of silver and black.

Those images don't really show the true glory of the bright blue interior. It really is a very curious colour combination and I just can't see it doing well at auction unless Elton John fancies a V8 to complement his latest party frock.

It did sell, but not big money. Due to its colour combinations and I think it had been stored a while.

Id have one again.

The yellow Jalpa was sold in July 2012 at the Silverstone auctions for £23,520, it was a LHD model.

There was also an RHD 1973 Lamborghini Espada S3 registration number TGC 55M up for sale at the same auction which sold for £28,000.

The yellow Jalpa with the blue interior "I Thought" had been for sale for some time - It was in an auction in Germany at the AvD Race meeting August 2012 .. Personally I think the blue interior looked a bit tired at the time and the entire car looked a bit scruffy...

How many Jalpas with that colour combination could there have been - perhaps it was not the same car ...

This car was originally grey which may explain the blue interior. More than one car in this bizarre colour scheme? I rather doubt it!

The big V8 meeting? Does anyone have any details? I've not heard of this and may be up for it depending on timings.
