Espada The Recently Remembered Super saloon!
Discussion
A few years ago (2007), that Espada was in some workshops in Titchfield, Hampshire. It was then silver, but emerged a couple of weeks later in that lurid green. The story goes, that it ended up being rough stored on a local farm, because the owner had no safe storage, and the car quickly deteriorated. It looked better in silver. I've got some photos somewhere. I will try to dig them out.

I have only ever seen a couple of Espadas, I remember my father nearly bought one at an auction when I was about 6 or 7 and been fascinated with them since.
Saw this red one in a classic car showroom a few years back and remember being shocked at its sheer size!
And then I saw this silver one last year at the Silverstone Classic. Beautiful!

So, just Where have all the Espada lovers gone ?
To restart this thread I have finally found my Motor Sport magazine of March 1972, where the Late, Great, DSJ ( Jenks ) tested a Champagne Yellow Espada which was registered 14 RW.
He had the loan of it via Lamborghini Concessionaires of Alie Street London, for a couple of the wettest days in February. This car, presumably their press demo Espada had already covered 10,000 miles, but he commented very favourably on it.
Jenks was a bit of a wag and things that he didn't like were the seats and the quality of the paintwork which was showing " nasty rust pittings".
He also described the gear lever as " protruding from a strange leather bag that looks as though your Lady passenger has left her hat on the central panel" !!
Has this one survived ?
