Series 1 has ‘bravo’ telephone dial wheels, small Warner instrument gauges. 50 made. “Low body”
Series 2, the best one...:-), has smooth dishes wheels, larger gauges, still low body. 105 made.
Series 3 (and thereafter) are first of the cars with taller cockpit, and raised suspension. 82 made
Lowbodys weren’t ‘a thing’ when cars were produced but there is a noticeable difference side by side.

So mine must have been a series 3, chassis no 1121320,
To be honest i didn't know there was a series 1.2.and 3 when i purchased mine some 13 years ago but was aware of Mike Pullen's low body
car as a major difference and the obvious difference on the periscope 400.
Was buying for a 5000 QV so did a bit of research on them but after being let down the 400 was a bit of a impulse buy so didn't do any
homework on the model .
What i do know like everyone else who buys a Countach i wanted one for a long time and when i could afford it bought one.

- What was the dates for the series 1 , 2 and 3 ( Thanks for the VIN Countach register ) ?
-Were the larger gauges Jaeger ?
- Series 3 -- taller cockpit ,because the roof was raised ?
Raised suspension , because the springs were higher ? or was it raised by someother mechanism ?
any other changes to the Series 3 please ?

You can see the difference here...Series 3 has approx 3cm taller body, and slightly raised suspension.

Would be a lot harder when parked on there own,
Did ask the same question to Lamborghini but not much help.
Also asked them how many R.H.D manual Gallardo's were made and got the same reply.

Don't think that Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 was a factory classification.- Was this an official Lamborghini Classification ?

For dates you can check the www.countach-register.com ;-)
Only the first 27 S1 cars have the small aircraft style Stewart Warner gauges.
Don't know if the larger were Jaeger.
Also, all S1 cars had the bigger 45 mm Weber carbs, some S2 cars too.
