I totally agree. He is a bore. Are you socially inept and you don't realize you wind people up the wrong way or are you just one of those really annoying people? I think of all the forums I am on your the only person I just find totally annoying. You spout the same crap day after day. Why can't you just write your opinion on one thread rather than bombarding every thread with the same answer. Seriously, what's wrong with you GRB430F1???

You don't have to agree with my opinions but I'm sorry to hear you are bored by the facts.
Conversely, far from being annoying I do find your posts so positive, knowledgeable and very interesting. Strange that.

Eh? Chris Evan's opinion is subjective.

The article feels like the type of fanboy piece I would write, but either way the conclusion is the same - 650S is epic.

Love your colour choice BTW - epic.

I'm toying with the idea of selling my F40 and getting an Agera R some time later this year - think I might go down the crazy colour route too! wobble

Really dont see the big deal in this 650s. To me it looks like they have taken a £120k 12C, added a dodgy front end and the side panel off a R8, and then added £100k to the price....laughlaughlaugh

Why anyone thinks that this will have better residuals is beyond me, especially as it's a lot more expensive to begin with (12C was around £185k with extras), and the new 458turbo is just around the corner. And not to mention the cheaper, prettier, baby Mclaren out this summer. The right time for the 12c/650 was 2011. Once they didn't get it right then, it was game over and curtains. Opportunity lost.

very nice indeed Tim and Im sure I will see you going around town at some point, its certainly not hard to miss! I think the front end is a really good improvement and looks good. I saw a white 650s spider out in town a few weeks ago and I thought it had massive presence.

Got to say Macs and Lambos are really the only cars that one can get away with a wild colour and for me that gets a big thumbs up. (clearly also Paganis and Koniseggs as well) I wonder why we are all so against seeing Ferraris or Porsches in fun colours. I saw a wrap on a f430 a week ago and I firstly thought it was a kit car then I assumed it was a Cat D repaired car with hidden problems.

Are you really comparing second hand cars and new ones? A bit silly really...

+1 I love the colour. I remember looking at the unclothed chassis of the MP4 at Autosport a number of years ago, looking at the tech in the suspension thinking, this will make an epic open car. I think the 650 Spider is the one and Love the Green. Very pleased with your choice.

Now what I would really like McLaren to do, or somebody to commission on that chassis is a 70s looking CanAm (traditional orange would be fine). That would be a good Lola T70 spider alternative with modern running gear.

Looking forward to the updates Tim....

Exactly ! All these uneducated posters seem to have an axe to grind with McLaren and haven't even seen or driven the car physically.
How anyone who has driven the 650S properly and back to back with a 458 and 12c can say its not the best car and huge improvement is beyond me.
My allegiance has always been to Ferrari so if it was a close call I could of gone that way and saved some dough, but at the end of the day you have to take your hat off to McLaren for what they have achieved with the 650S.

Some people just won't get it and won't want to get it either - Guess its just jealousy and easier to knock a car especially if you cant afford one in the first place

I wouldn't necessarily go that far, I think simply it's a car that has a steep learning curve and it's quite hard to understand what it's up to fully. A lot of people are reluctant to accept something new, and so many of the components and technologies in the 12C/650S are new, as such it's going to take a while for wider acceptance.

With respect to the EVO list posted around, while the F-Type R is a great car (I had one for two weeks in November), I'm not sure how you can put it above a 650S in any comparison...!? I'd love to have a proper go in a Speciale/Speciale A and hopefully that will happen at some point.
