How good is the latest system ? I believe its a hardware and software update but is it worth the £2,500 and whats the standard meridian surround sound stereo system like say in comparison to the Ferrari 458 system.
Its seems a more modern system but I have to say the JBL Hi Power hi fi system £3,500 option on a 458 was excellent IMHO

IRIS II actually takes value over time smile As it will go from 2.5k to 7k on 1st January 2015 (or so they say...)

IRIS II is no improvement on sound quality. It is a better overall system (music and satnav) but only in the fact that it actually works !
IRIS I is useless if you try to do both (satnav and music). It will do one fine. But not both at the same time ! Freeze, crash, stops giving directions, nice white noise when transitioning from directions to music. Drove me nuts !

Sound quality is alright but do not expect anything superlative. May be I got too much used to my B&O system in the Aston.... No way near that kind of audio quality.

IRIS II also has voice control, which actually works pretty well even with my French accent !

If you are using the car regularly and need satnav then you need IRIS II. If you are using it as an occasional drive, the IRIS I will be fine.
