I think the big issue was the colour it was displayed in wasn't the best, I like it but I don't think showed it off well enough - needed something eye catching really!

Is it the appearance that is underwhelming? Or are you just going off the overall idea of it? And what about the appearance, too closely resembles the 12C which is now five years old?Looks awesome to me. Really aggressive looking and the performance figures are going to be frightening.
The normal 650S is a weapon on a track and this thing is going to be an animal. It will knock speciale's out the park but with a £300k price tag its not cheap.

Hmmm, Id like to wait and see what Journos do with it first, have a feeling they'll still favour the arch nemesis from maranello as they always seem to. That said I don't think Mclaren care if they've sold out. Also I think parties interested at that price tag level aren't too fussed about price, most will be going into collections with a few die hard Macca fans wanting them.The normal 650S is a weapon on a track and this thing is going to be an animal. Looks great but think they initially displayed it in a too low key colour considering its meant to be the best iteration of the super series, think it lacked a bit of drama paint wise. Lucky few if anyones got one though.

I personally don't think you will get one. But you can keep trying your 'local' dealership or Mclaren direct and hope that pestering may just work. To my knowledge the car was sold out by the time the car was displayed at geneva.

Odd. They were definitely accepting UK orders in early February, after car had been announced.Perhaps you were speaking with a dealership who were talking about only their own individual order book?

seems quite a few do, but Mclaren seem to lack transparency in terms of their 'waiting list' would be nice to know where you are in the list if someone cancels an order/ or the UK is given a higher allocation due to demand. Has anyone ordered the Le Mans edition of the 650s?
(just 50 units) roof scoop, different wheels etc coupe only.
