And our thoughts are?

I'm going to wait to see it in Geneva before I reach my conclusion.

Nice, but don't think it looks sufficiently different to the 650s to set it apart.

It would obviously be distinguished by one of the 5 special (never seen before) colours

Flemke has seen it at the MTC and said it was everything he hoped the P1 would be

The pictures don't do it justice, in the flesh it is far more aggressive looking than the 650 and the engineering is taken to another level. We saw the White one last week but I can't wait to see chicane grey, the new green and Mclaren orange.

Be interesting to see how it stacks up with the 458 Speciale. Up to now Speciale ( track car ) has been compared with 650S ( Road car )which to be fair the 650S has come out with honours
On paper the 675LT looks to have moved the benchmark on again performance wise and if they have made even greater improvements on the subjective feel elements as they have successfully achieved with the 650S v 12C its going to be totally awesome dude.

Rumoured price tag circa £300k with options and worldwide allocation of 500 sold out so if your names not down you can't come in !

I think it looks really good, except the front lip, which is still not well flowing (especially with the photoshopped number plate !!)

I have been quoted 30% more then a 650S coupe, so more like £250k. Which is a very good price for that sort of car.

You can still get on the waiting list if you speak to the right dealer with a good chance to get one still [as UK/Europe allocation might be increased due to success + people dropping out].

I decided not to do it as although it is a massive improvement on the 650S, I am still not convinced on the 650S design evolution and prefer to wait for the replacement, which I know will not come for another 2 years but I don't mind seating waiting in a 12C :-)

agreed, the rendered pictures don't do it any favours. It's a nice car though and it's funny how sitting that bit lower than the 650 with a few tweaks to the nose makes it look much better. If it's to the 650/12c what the gt3 is to the c2s for example then it's going to be a bloody good car.

Hope they have fixed the diffusor clearance issues with running trofeos though as you couldn't really run them on the 12c....

With a limited run and most already sold you're not going to get one for 250K, there'll be 20k of must have options before you even start on the ego stuff.

Price is £280K and whatever you wish to spend with MSO - so you can easily spend way more.

There are some still available - the UK build allocation is full - however the take up in other markets is less committed. I think that after Geneva the limited run may well be snapped up. In fact I'm surprised that the press release came out today. My guess is that they want launch a car in Geneva that is already sold out - it isn't today.......I'll make my mind up in Geneva - and whilst I agree with some of your points GRBF430F1 - I think the rear looks great - but the rest of the car is too generically McLaren - and that may put some people off. 0-100 is 5.5 seconds is quick - but not if you put some of the options that are no cost back in (i.e. the A/C is 8.5KGs). I don't think, IMHO, that you can compare the 675LT (and the long tail is a whole 33mm longer than a 650s - so not really LT at all......) with a Speciale - i think you need to compare it with a V8 twin turbo track focused car.....

I'll make my mind up at Geneva - along with others, I'm sure.

Where did you hear that pricing was confirmed at £280k?

The car comes with a fair few cf bits and the p1 style seats as standard though... not THAT much to add surely? front lifter apart which is going to be a must have I think.

The rear bumper and side vents are made of carbon fibre but come painted black and you must spec unpainted... According to my dealer. So there will be some silly options if that's how they are going to play it but I'll wait and see what they announce price wise at geneva before I comment any further

It does sound like the right level anyway. The performance gap is not enough to warrant getting into the £300k territory.

...and you can option the rear lift as well - like the P1 - there is so much carbon on the rear diffuser (which will have different options too!!!!) that you wouldn't want to scrape it against a gradient/pavement/kerb - which is why the 100KG lighter figure is such horsest, when you spec a car for the real world........

I don't know which planet your on, but from what I've read the Speciale was better received than the 650S.

And I think McLaren is racking up new editions from what's basically the same platform as a 12C a bit too fast.
