The 488 is really a mid-life upgrade/facelift a la 360-430 and 348-355. The one after the 488 is the big change.
Now you have gone on done it ! When I suggested that a while back it was like world war III. Prepare for some incoming abuseThink I'll log off now though

Question is will it effect the value of the 650s? And can't be too far away for a super series replacement? (650s) Baring in mind the 675 is coming out they surely can't do much more with what they have (don't mention lazy designs mclaren haters)

Now this is a very nice problem to have, have you got a photo/description of your RS5? I rather like them.
As for the new options their all going to be great although one would assume the R8 V10 plus would be quickest? However Mclaren will definitely feel and look the most special in my eyes, although fantastic cars/products they're not from an more bespoke manufacturer like ferrari/mclaren/lamborghini. I guess everyones different how they see that argument mind you - is it the 540c you will look at or the 570s (on the basis of brakes alone)?
The +30 bhp will not make the difference, the +60 Nm torque might be. And since I like to spec the security pack as well as the comfort pack, it might be "cheaper" to do this on a 570S than on a 540C. The ceramic brakes or not a must, but I have this on my other car, and besides it brakes great, it also keeps the wheels clean :-)As for the new options their all going to be great although one would assume the R8 V10 plus would be quickest? .and yes the 650 is just a mid term facelift.

He's absolutely correct though....the 458 was a massive step up from the 430. The 360 from the 355 and so on. Ferrari always take a big leap every other generation, so yep, the 488 wont be a big jump from the 458..
BMW do a similar thing with their 3 series.....

But it perfected what was a good base car in the 12C. All the little changes particularly the subjective/emotional feel areas are similar to the step between 430 Scuderia to F430 and 458 Speciale to 458 without the double the price price tagBMW do a similar thing with their 3 series.....

In years to come ............. Go figure for yourselves. Oh where have all the 650S gone ????

It will depend on the orders each dealer has. I'd call around if you are interested as only the dealer will know.
Do you know the latest from your dealer? That said, I am keen to know when I will be going to the MTC so will give a call tomorrow if you like.
I ordered/put a deposit on a 540C in July. I hadn't seen one in the flesh, but am lucky enough to have got a passenger ride in one yesterday for the first time.
Firstly I would like to say that I am not unfamiliar with fast cars. I have owned many quick Caterhams, Noble, TVR, and Aston, I have also had years of access and used 964, 996 turbo cars, but this thing was ferocious! Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. But the performance blew me away. Very smooth, but mind numbingly fast. Gear changes were seamless.
I can't wait to get behind the wheel and have a proper play.

'm guessing the ride was in a 570 as I do not think the 540 is in production yet?Firstly I would like to say that I am not unfamiliar with fast cars.
