Space fabric was the standard interior on the 12C as well. It was faux leather with fabric seat inlays and door cards. The fabric was a sort of "net effect". it came in a few colours, red, orange, grey. I think in all these years i have only seen one car specced with this, but at what was a £3.5k saving, it wasn't essential for someone who didn't want to spend more. I am sure a good upholster could replace the fabric with some altantara for a few hundred quid, and it would look spot on.

The standard interior can be seen on the white 570S at Ascot.
All over black leather. Looked and felt very nice and very comfy for the test drive. When I saw the standard option, it was a no brainer.
I originally speced the leather option with a few orange high lights. That and orange calipers added £4.3K to the price.
So, black leather and black calipers for me please.

The 570s has an extended leather interior as standard. The 540c has a more basic interior, hence the space fabric.

I actually quite like the space fabric look. More comfortable in hot weather than sweaty leather too.

I had a really good look at one of these this afternoon in Knutsford (white car on King Street anyone on here?) near McLaren Manchester.

Pics don't do them justice and absolutely stunning in the flesh. A real step forward in terms of design. Very jealous of anyone with one on order......

Not sure what's changed then, but i was told yesterday if i ordered a car today it would be ready to drive away in June so i think 1000+ confirmed orders even last October would appear a tad optimistic.

I wish there were some reviews out too - I finalised my 540c spec yesterday for a May delivery. I have faith!
