Hi Cymario,

Got mine from McBrum too. Very similar car, they seem to have quite a selection of the Volcano Red ones and they sell very quickly too. Looks like you got a bargain with that one.

Just had mine ppf'd all over due to the difficulty in touching up the VR paint. The car looks fantastic now. I'm sure you will love it.

When you have it take a look at the secret McLaren owners UK facebook site. Lots of info on there.

that looks amazing. Can you let me know where you had it fitted and a rough idea of cost?

Very excited. This will be my first McLaren and I can't wait to collect it on Monday. Really love the volcano red on the spider and looking forward to my first drive. Just sold my 458 italia so fingers crossed I like it.
Congrats.

Looked forward to your comparison write up to the 458 but just make sure its run in and you have some mileage under your belt before you make up your mind. These cars need to be driven to be appreciated and certainly grow on you the more you drive them.
In comparison the Italians show you their knickers on the first date

I cant wait now! Mine has the standard exhaust fitted so I'm hoping that it's not too quiet.

570S wins Motortrend drivers car of the year 2016

570S seems to be the best super, sorry sports, car for us mere mortals ever made. It's Ron, but the fun side of Ron.

yikes

Not seen a bad review of it yet, it kicks butt in every review I have seen.

The 570S far better than the 650s for fun. Not bad for the cheap sport car wink

Aye, not bad for a cheap sports car and better than your run of the mill Porsche or Audi. Spider will be more fun naturally. Personally I'm waiting to see if there is such a thing as a LT spider version( The extra power and reduced weight should put it up there with the supercars like 650s )

I was amazed that the Audi won the drag race (motor trend) , the 570 was a close second though.

Collected my car yesterday. All I can say is Wow! Done around 50miles today on different roads and I am surprised at how much I have fallen for it already! The car looks, to my eyes, totally gorgeous and I am blown away at the fit and finish. The quality of the paint and all materials inside is superb. I was afraid that it would feel like a soft car after the brilliance of my 458, but It is nothing like I expected. The car feels so composed and purposeful and the way it pics up speed is otherworldly. The noise, and mine has the standard exhaust is also impressive, with a very interesting variety of sounds which make it feel like a fully blown supercar. Feels so modern too! I am really excited by this car.

Wait until its properly run in and you have done a few thousand miles in it. Your confidence will build and it will grow on you even more as you can unleash more of its capabilities.
Agree with the quality comment but pleasantly surprised with your comment on sound where I personally think the 458 has the advantage even over my louder sports exhaust.
If you have come from 458 Italia to 650S spider hopefully you have had roof down and realise with the carbon tub there is no compromise from having the convertible unlike 458 spider.

A big factor for me is the exclusivity - Ferraris seem to be 2 a penny down here but I've only seen 3 McLarens in as many years.

Enjoy. Suns out and its a barmy 20C here so about to go out on Dartmoor in my own

Good colour choice by the way - Volcano Red is the fastest

My son has posted a collection video on his YouTube channel 'kk automotive'

Have a look and let me know your thoughts on spec. Car was presented beautifully by McLaren Birmingham and with 868 miles on the clock, looks and feels brand new.

If any of you are local to Sutton Coldfield it would be good if we could arrange a meet.

Hmmmmmmm.....Choices, choices

Currently tempted by a 458, 650 or even a Huracan....

I really liked my 12c but have to say the one down side was the whole black stealth look (which only really looks good when immaculately clean) ...super bright and shouty colour next time for me....
