Hmmmmmmm.....Choices, choices

Currently tempted by a 458, 650 or even a Huracan....

I really liked my 12c but have to say the one down side was the whole black stealth look (which only really looks good when immaculately clean) ...super bright and shouty colour next time for me....

VR 650s sypder lick

Agree on black not showing the car off to the max. Hides the lines and carbon details

458 and Huracan are great cars and different but you will miss your McLaren. All depends what you want. If you want to be loud and shouty then probably the lambo coupe although 458 spider seems to hold its price better but you will definitely miss the carbon tub with all that shake rattle n roll.

Only upgrade from those cars is the 650S spider IMHO and you will be blown away by the improvement over 12C. See Steve Sutcliffes you tube comparison

Those that don't get it clearly haven't driven the 650S for anytime but the subjective areas of sound and feel have been improved dramatically and the torque difference across rev band is immense from my experience of both cars.
Quite a few 12C owners making this upgrade now with difference sub £50k on the whole.
Bargain supercar of the moment and selling like hot cakes with a potential upside as currently under appreciated /undervalued by the unwashed IMHO.

Good luck whatever but once you've had a McLaren anything else is likely to disappoint

I'd consider the 458 the older outgoing model and while very very good it's not as up to date as the Lambo. For instance I always thought the gearbox on the 458 couldn't be bettered but the Lambo box is a step up again.
I've owned both and currently run a Huracan and it's a fantastic car. You don't have to have a shouty colour in the Lambo, black and dark grey look great. I'm looking for another toy to run alongside the Lambo and two possibilities are a 570's or another 458 so as you can see I still have a soft spot for the 458.
With regard overall pace the 650 no doubt will be quickest but put any of the above on a track and it would need a good driver to separate them!

I thought they had closed the order book on these?

Yep sure have. Be lucky to get hold of one new now. Few pre reg ones around at discounted price but NOT massive.
Used car sales are still brisk at circa £180k for a 2014/15 model. Prices will firm up again spring time with the lack of stock and P14 still some time off

Clearly seen as the supercar bargain of the moment with all these silly inflated prices flying around.

Interesting that an ex demo 458 spider I was offered 18 months ago is up for £20k more now and still unsold - off the back of what a lot of hot air and hype.
I guess it only takes one mug to come along and buy it but don't know how some dealers survive when they sit on stock for
500 + days

Seems to be lots of 12c's available now I'm wondering if prices will start to soften as a result?

Its all relative 29 ads for 12C versus 145 for 458 and 61 for huracan.

I think some 2nd or 3rd 12C owners bought at the low point ran the car for 1 or 2 years and now taking the opportunity to upgrade to 650S for sub £50k as old car firmed up and new 650S depreciated to used car level.
With F430 prices over £100k I just cant see 12C dropping - there is no comparison between the 2 cars.

I loved my late high spec low mileage F430 spider 3 years ago but if I was offered a straight swap for a 12C I would of taken it without hesitation

16 UK 12Cs on PH. Not a huge number.

A lot of people upgrading to 650s having got in a Mclaren for the first time and liking what they experienced. Start of this year there seemed to be a job lot moving from 12C to 675.

Be good to know what proportion of cars originally sold are up for sale. I noticed near 50 Aventadors at the minute. The Huracan is now 3 different cars in one section, 4wd, 2wd and convertible. So not surprised at numbers for sale.lots of 458's but they've sold a lot of cars so inevitable.
