131k is pretty amazing value for a brand new car of that nature, well done OP!

Looks superb, which is just as well as mine's Storm Grey too! Delivery's a while off but I'm pacing up and down anxiously!

I have been watching the 12C/650S adverts for some time and what Rybrook have in stock as its just up the road from me.

Looking at what you have there may have changed my mind, there is enough power for road use and would save me £40K+ and a 3 year warranty thrown in and it looks stunning.

That's my thinking too, £165000 for a 650s or £140,000 for my ideal spec 540c and a three year warranty ? Need to get off my arse and go and drive them.

You need to change your first part of you name to Mr Sensible who does who does not get suckered into option ticking.

That's a bit longer than Mac though. smile

You've managed to get a bargain with that restraint, at that price so much more supercar than the Porsche Turbo S or Audi R8.

As poverty Mclaren it looks the dogs bks. censored canny buying.

Hats off.

I am sorry about the quality of these. I must have had a couple too many red wines last night.

The full spec of this car also includes
Soft close doors
McLaren designed leather/alcantara interior and coloured matched calipers to tie in the orange interior.

So, nearer £137K....

Bought the car through McLaren Ascot. Chris is brilliant to deal with and knows his stuff.

Me too...and made all the worse knowing I won't ever get to sit in/own it...

Purely on looks however you could see how someone fixated on baubles and glitz could see that as a slightly better fitted out Alfa 4C cabin...

To really appreciate a McLaren cabin you need to sit in one and drive it.

You can just feel the engineering excellence and ergonomics. The feel, fit and finish are also fantastic and there is enough bling - for me at least.

OP, looks Lush thumbup

Have put a call into my asset finance people to get figures on a new 540c/570S/used 650, so will report back for any aspiring owners on what it takes to potentially sit behind the wheel.

MadMac... are the interior shots above of your car? I'm just a bit confused as you say you paid 131k but that car is nearer 137k

At 131k I'm really struggling to see past the 540 at the moment

These are all pictures of my car.
131K is my original spec with the essentials.
Parking sensors, Nose lift and storm grey paint. Everything else was standard.

I would have been very happy with that. But,there are a few cosmetic extras subsequently added. The interior with Alcantara/leather and orange highlights, orange calipers and soft close doors. These will take you to 137K.

My apologies for the confusion, it all made sense when I typed it.

So after a week of ownership.
I have only done a couple of hundred miles but first impressions are it drives better than it looks. And it looks stunning.
The steering is immediate and feels like a go cart. The power is awesome. I know many on here have 650+ HP, but I can't imagine using that sort of power on the roads.
The 540 has steel brakes, which after test driving the 570 with carbon feels immediate and far more suited to the roads. My car is destined to be on track once or twice in my ownership, so pleased I didn't tick that box.
The interior is minimal, not unnecessarily cluttered and the Iris system is a joy to use.
I have owned Astons, Caterhams, Noble, TVR and this car would embarrass them all.
Not much of a review, but best car I have owned and cannot imagine how I could better it.

I am looking forward to getting a little closer to 650 and 675 as some on here rave about the interior over the 540/570. I would like their opinions on mine.
