I have just collected my 12C spider and I can't believe how cheap these are for what you get!
Absolutely amazing! Surely prices can only go up?
Just got the car and already trying to talk up prices... That's quick even for most of the people buying 12c's in the last year ...Absolutely amazing! Surely prices can only go up?

Interesting that it appears a few 12c owners are now upgrading to 650s. There must be at least 3 on the Mac owners FB group with a few more tempted.
It's great for the marque, gets more new people into the 12c's as well.
I think in part this is due to prices on the 650 finally finding a level as the 12c did a year or so back, I don't see either model moving too much from these levels with regard to change costs. It's great for the marque, gets more new people into the 12c's as well.
I could with a bit of luck both ways change up to a 650 for 30k now whereas that was more like 50k a year ago.
edited to say Im talking coupe specifically, but suspect spider same gap.

Though I'm not sure you're right on 650 coupe values?? Especially not if you're talking trade 12c bid vs retail 650? Surely that's now £50k?
Why is everyone buying McLarens these days ?!
It seems to becoming the car enthusiasts choice of weapon and definitely flavour of the month or more like year now.
Personally I thought it would take longer than this but the brand awareness is increasing exponentially from what I can see.
In a marketplace that has seen some cars appreciate to silly prices Mclarens have stayed relatively stable but I think as others start to fall off peak prices McLarens could actually to start to buck the trend and increase now.
At worse prices have certainly bottomed out IMHO

Hi Gary
You got yours yet? Don't forget I'm just down the road and looking forward to good poke.
No - I bought a converted barn in Lincolnshire with 4 acres in December and am currently creating a wildflower meadow and lake in half of it. So finances got diverted and I cancelled the 540.You got yours yet? Don't forget I'm just down the road and looking forward to good poke.
It's interesting that if/when I do finally get round to getting something a little special I would probably go 12C if it was a McLaren. I'm not sure why exactly, but I think it probably comes down to a slowly evolving appreciation and love for its more pure and simple design over the Sports series.
Who knows though!

For every buyer there's a seller, you know that, right? Boshly said:

It's a truism that two views make a market......

That may well be but with 12C/650S production numbers now fixed supply is not getting bigger whilst its clear demand is and will only continue IMHO.Got to remember with 3,500 12C worldwide and another 2,500 650S these are small numbers in real terms ala Challenge Stradale/430 Scuderia.
Time will tell but my simple straw poll of turning up at my boys primary school in the Ferrari versus the McLaren suggests to me, unlike my generation, the young kids on the block ( potential future buyers ) are more excited by the mac than the fezza
