They seem to have the chassis and aero upgraded a lot but the engine is the same old donkey. We at least need a herd of donkeys with differing number of legs.

I like Mclaren sticking it to the others but how long is this engine going to go on for with tweaks ?

Mercedes 6.3 V8?
Cosworth DFV?
Mezger flat 6?

Dunno about donkeys but it certainly seems to have a pug as the inspiration for rear styling. What an unholy mess.

Wait for it !

After the F1 concept pictures I was all excited but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by that if its a P14. Looks like a Peugeot RCZ thingy and not the ground breaking step up from the P13 platform that was rumoured.

Looking on the bright side I can see 650S becoming the sweet spot and values going up again now whistle

Love the F1 and the 12C but everything since has looked like a Peugeot. This appears to take it to the next level!

Looks much better than the dogs dinner that is the 650.

"To beat the Ferrari, McLaren will have to ensure the P14 can reach 62mph in less than 3.0sec and achieve a top speed of more than 205mph."

Really? Is this what it has come down to? What a sorry indictment of the current thinking in driving circles that the ultimate measure of a new car is not how good it makes you feel to push on down a great road, but rather how fast you could theoretically get from a standstill to an arbitrarily chosen speed while travelling in a straight line. To be fair this is probably not McLaren's primary objective but it has unfortunately become the focus of every new supercar launch. Enough!

At what?

I think the 650 is a mess. It's a car of two halves that don't match. If they'd updated the rear as well as the front when they created the 650 it might look better (like a 675 rear does) but as it is I don't like it at all.

What a time to be alive. Lots of exciting manufacturers competing to bring us the best supercar possible.

That's not saying much is it. The 650 is an utter shambles of a design. This P14 looks like an evolution of P1 which is no bad thing.

Well I guess most people will only ever see the rear of a 650S so if you don't like it I can see why it would doubly hack you off lol

I think the back end of this P14 mule looks a hash up of the 570S which I already find too fussy so its funny how people see things differently. Maybe you are brunette tomboy kind of guy and I'm a blonde supermodel

Personally, I think the issue with the 12C was the front bumper and headlights which the 650s addressed beautifully. Back end looks fine to me but then I've got the MSO carbon racing diffuser on mine

So because I don't think your car is the best looking thing on the road, you also have better taste in women than me?

You're pathetic.

Rambo, seriously stop. We all (most?) think you are a complete tt when it comes to your obsession with values but then you go ahead and post to prove it.

Regarding the P14 - I am sure McLaren will end up making it look like a little cracker!!

I was going through South Harting near Chichester West Sussex on Wednesday morning and saw a heavily camouflaged McLaren. Possibly it was the P14, or another future car being road tested?

No, where do I say that ? Just that people like different things FFS.

Anyway glad everyone doesn't like the 650S or else it would lose its exclusivity.

I think you are the pathetic troll

Are you so precious you can't even entertain the fact that not everyone thinks your car is the best thing since sliced bread?

Please point out for all our benefit, my trolling posts on this thread.

Thank you.

The 2 above for starters are purely there to provoke

It's called cause and effect. Or action and reaction. I'm only reacting to your posts. I came on the thread and simply said I wasn't a fan of the 650's styling. You, for some bizarre reason thought I was trying to personally provoke you and said "nice try".

I've had the time to look at some of your other posts and it's seems you don't need me to make yourself look like a fool. You do an excellent job all by yourself. You regularly bore and antagonise people with your obsessive nonsense about your car.

I'm done talking to you. I'm not going to waste anymore time on something I care so little about. You are welcome to the last word. I won't respond.

Apologies to other posters for the thread derailment.

Hard to tell if it looks good from those pictures. It looks as though the back is bulbous and out of proportion, but I reserve judgement because the 650 has a tendency to look worse in photos than the flesh.
